The Three Amigos!
As promised, I present to you...The Three Amigos! From left to right we have: 1) Butterfly Shusui - named Butterfly (by Talli) 2) Ginrin Yamabuki Ogon - named Roy (by Talli, after a patient of ours who is turning 90 this year) 3) Sanke - unnamed as of yet (I'm naming this one) If you click on the photo, you'll see in the enlarged photo that Butterfly has very long fins and tail. That's the standard for butterfly or longfin koi. The other two fish are not butterfly koi, so they have the shorter more standard tail and fins. The fish are still in the tank under quarantine and we're watching them for signs of disease like hawks. We want to make sure that they are healthy and ready for transfer to the pond in two weeks. Pond Update: Current temperature 54 degrees and holding - Hopefully the weather will improve and the pond will warm a little. Notice: Talli and I have a big update coming up for everyone soon. Stay tuned! This will be a big one. Hopefully, I'll be able to tell everyone in the next few days.
